What Patients are Viewing: Younger Patients Receiving TJA

CNN aired a story this week that reports the average age of patients who elect to have total joint replacement surgery is decreasing. Citing the study “Changing Demographics in Primary and Revision Total Joint Arthroplasty, 2000-2014,” presented at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting, the story explains that advances in technology are among some of the factors that have influenced the demographics of patients over time.
