Established in 1991, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) is the essential organization of hip and knee specialists representing more than 4,000 members. The mission of AAHKS is to advance hip and knee patient care through education, advocacy and research.
Councils and Committees Charges and Descriptions
With a diverse representation of AAHKS members, Councils and Committees are responsible for setting policy directives for AAHKS. Terms are typically for two years with some exceptions.
Responsibilities of the Board of Directors and Committee members involve setting direction, using resources wisely and providing oversight.
