In the latest recording of AAHKS Amplified, we highlight the stories of a unique community within AAHKS, and just in time to celebrate Pride Month. Zachary C. Lum, DO, Vice-Chair of the Diversity Advisory Board (DAB) speaks openly and candidly with Jaime L. Bellamy, DO, MS and Chloe E.H. Scott, MD to hear about their journey as members of the LGBTQ+ community. As members of a community that is underrepresented in medicine and arthroplasty, Drs. Bellamy and Scott provide a little insight into their journeys as surgeons, challenges and cultural best practices that we can learn from and interesting patient stories.

In this very open and transparent conversation, Dr. Lum explores the decisions of Drs. Bellamy and Scott to become orthopaedic surgeons. His goal in recording this podcast is to use the voices heard and information shared to support civil rights and equality. Celebrating the diversity that already exists within AAHKS and using that uniqueness to enrich our patient’s lives.

Enjoy, and thanks for listening to AAHKS Amplified!
