Seeking Patient Volunteers for Guideline Development

AAHKS and the American College of Rheumatology are seeking patient volunteers to participate in developing guidelines on indications for TKA and THA. The clinical practice guidelines help ensure high-quality, evidence-based care, including recommendations on best therapies for patient groups and clinical situations. Patients play an important role in guideline development, bringing their views and experiences to complement the published evidence. For this guideline on appropriate indications for TKA/THA in patients with moderate to severe osteoarthritis or osteonecrosis of the hip or knee, the ACR and AAHKS are looking for patients who have these conditions AND have had either knee or hip replacement surgery, to participate in this project.
