As part of the Annual Meeting, AAHKS hosted four special courses on Friday, providing a full day of programming (and in some cases CME) tailored to specific interests of orthopaedic hip and knee surgeons, researchers and staff. The Orthopaedic Team Member course was chaired by Vasili Karas, MD, MS, and co-chaired by Charles P. Hannon, MD, MBA, and Susanne L. Porter, FNP-BC. David J. Jacofsky, MD, David C. Markel, MD and Wendy W. Wong, MD, co-chaired the Business of Total Joint Arthroplasty course, providing knowledge and skills to help surgeons and staff maximize practice success, increase their market share and grow revenue. The Resident Arthroplasty Course was led by Nathanael D. Heckmann, MD, Chair and Elizabeth B. Gausden, MD, MPH, Co–Chair, with an agenda focused on total joint didactics and case presentations. The Research Course was chaired by William M. Mihalko, MD, PhD, and Brenna E. Blackburn, PhD, Co-Chair. Both the Business Course and Team Member Course offered additional CME.
