A recent study reported in Orthopedic News finds 15.7 percent conversion rate from arthroscopic meniscectomy to TKR at 20 years. Researchers reviewed data on 160 patients who underwent arthroscopic meniscectomy for degenerative meniscus tears. “At 20 years, patients who underwent arthroscopic meniscectomy for degenerative meniscus tears were converted to total knee replacement at a 15.7 percent rate, according to published results.” Read the full story here.
