AAHKS Leaders Meet with CMMI

This week, AAHKS President Bryan D. Springer, MD, Second Vice President James I. Huddleston, III, MD and Health Policy Council and Advocacy Committee Chair Adam J. Rana, MD, met with Chris Ritter, MPA, PhD, Acting Deputy Director of the CMS Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) and staff. With Bundled Payments for Care Improvement-Advanced (BPCI-A) planned to end next year and the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) in 2024, discussion centered on the future of value-based care and bundled payment models. AAHKS will continue to meet with CMMI on this issue.
