AAOS Seeking Input on Workplace Violence

The AAOS Patient Safety Committee is conducting an anonymous survey to learn about workplace violence in orthopaedics. “On June 1, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the AAOS lost a friend and colleague, Dr. Preston Phillips, to a senseless act of workplace violence (WPV). This was an unacceptable societal, professional, and personal loss. WPV in healthcare exceeds all other industries combined and is too often overlooked until inconceivable physical or psychological harm occurs.” The survey results will be shared with the orthopaedic community, “as together we seek to ensure our practices and healthcare centers remain places of comfort, healing, and learning.” Please click here to complete the survey, which will take less than 5 minutes to complete.
