James I. Huddleston III, MD, presented the 2024 AAHKS Presidential Award to Gregory J. Golladay, MD, for his invaluable contributions to AAHKS publications, particularly his leadership on the AAHKS Publications Committee and as Arthroplasty Today Editor-in-Chief, navigating the journal through great changes and adapting to the evolving dynamics of the publishing industry. The Lawrence D. Dorr, MD, Humanitarian Award was presented to Douglas A. Dennis, MD by AAHKS Humanitarian Committee Chair Julius K. Oni, MD, who highlighted Dr. Dennis’s leadership as the founder of Operation Walk Denver, which has provided more than 1,900 free joint replacement surgeries for poverty-stricken patients in Central and South America with little to no access to needed medical care. Two FARE Grant Awards were given to Nathanael Heckmann, MD and Jhase Sniderman, MD by AAHKS Research Committee Chair Ran Schwarzkopf, MD, MSc to support ongoing research projects in arthroplasty.
