House Representatives Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA) and Jimmy Panetta (D-CA) are leading a letter calling on House leadership to stop unsustainable Medicare cuts to physicians. If you have not already done so, now is a critical time to reach out to your Representative in Congress and urge them to sign the letter by Friday, September 27. The letter addresses the need for Congress to stop the 2.8% reduction to the 2025 Physician Fee Schedule Conversion Factor that will directly impact total hip and knee arthroplasty reimbursement. It also calls on Congressional leadership to address the long-term degradation of physician reimbursement by finally applying an inflationary update to the fee schedule, and other important payment stabilization policies. Congress is currently convened in Washington, D.C. for their last legislative session before the elections. This is a critical time to make your voice heard. After the elections, Congress will reconvene to pass a final year-end bill. That is our best opportunity to address these cuts, but Congress must be constantly reminded of the urgency of this issue over the next three months. Please click here to reach out to your Representative and encourage them to sign on to the letter.
Reminder: Tell Congress to Support Physician Payment Updates!
